Looking for an apartment in the MARINA area

Dubai is like a gigantic sand castle playground. All the buildings are very similar from one another and most have this distinctive drab-sand color that is reminiscent of my painting 'De Sable et d'Eau', the one posted on my intro to this blog.
*** Thank goodness for the red car!

Cranes, construction posts and flags are the most colorful accents on this bland city canvas. The question is: What will be left when the construction is finished and the expats are gone?
Some say it is doomed to become the biggest ghost town ever created!
I may end up getting the apartment we visited on this street with no name - (i.e.: streets have no names and buildings, no addresses; street lights are few and far between; round-abouts and U-turns are everwhere and people don't seam to know what yeild or slow down means.
Eveything seams to impair efficiency which drives Glen crazy!

Your adventures are exciting to read about and see! I just got back from Austin, Texas (talk about reconnecting to the past, eh?) where I attended a conference. Not nearly as exotic as your trip, of course...
